Introduction
When I began this project in 2006, I just wanted to create a simple timeline of church history by researching business meeting minutes and other records. However, after reading a few documents written by those who experienced first-hand our history, I decided to copy their works directly to preserve them for future generations. This is primarily because many of the older documents are extremely faded and very fragile. I found that our history as a church reaches far beyond the church we know today, to a one room schoolhouse, and prior to that, the homes of our ancestors. I believe that to know where you are going in life, you must first know where you came from; likewise, I believe that this is true for our church. The simplest truths are often the greatest, and have the most significant effect on our lives — here and in eternity. If we begin right, we will build right. Here is our beginning…
Sincerely,
John Morgan
